Jane Turner, MD, FAAP, professor in the department of Pediatrics and Human Development at Michigan State University and assistant medical director of the Office of Medical Affairs (Medicaid) and chief medical consultant for Children’s Special Health Care Services, Michigan Department of Community Health. She received her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, medical doctor degree from the University of Oregon and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Turner was appointed by the governor to the Michigan Autism Council in summer 2012.
