Isabella Felzer-Kim is an M.D. - Ph.D. student in the PhysicaL Activity for Youth with Disabilities (PLAY'd) Laboratory in Kinesiology, working with Dr. Janet Hauck. Her research addresses movement skills and physical activity in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and how these skills interact with social and cognitive domains. She also investigates how adults (parents, educators, health care professionals, and pre-service students) perceive these concepts and how this effects service provision. Recent work includes an Applied Behavior Analytic randomized controlled trial utilizing video modeling and graduated guidance to improve gross motor skills in preschoolers with ASD.
