Atikah graduated from New Mexico State University with M.A. in Special Education, concentrating in Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is currently a first year PhD student in Human Development and Family Studies- Child Development track. As of right now, Atikah has very broad research interest in a diverse cultural context (American & Indonesia- where she is from) that includes family dynamics of individuals with disabilities, teacher & parent training, and children with disability in the welfare system. Atikah is a co-manager in the Research in Autism and Developmental Disabilities (RADD) Lab run by Dr. Sarah Douglas, and currently working on a project training family members of children with complex communication using an AAC.
