Amy K. Nuttall, assistant professor, Department of Human Development and Family Studies, examines family and developmental processes of resilience and risk with the broader goal of translating research into preventive interventions aimed at supporting positive outcomes for children, siblings, and parents. Nuttall is particularly interested in family relationships and caregiving roles, including parenting and children’s experiences of providing caregiving in their family system. She conducts process-oriented basic research in a wide variety of family contexts, including families who have a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
